Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely sourcing of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, vendor management, and negotiation skills to optimize purchasing strategies and maintain cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct sourcing activities for materials and services, utilizing ERP systems and MRP tools.
Analyze pricing trends and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements within SAP or similar systems.
Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to inform sourcing decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Demonstrated skills in vendor management, negotiation, and pricing analysis.
Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
