Procurement Specialist (Full Time) - Mississauga, ON

This position is responsible for strategic sourcing / procurement of Indirect which include telecommunications, MRO, facility services, office supplies, PPE and HR related commodities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead complex sourcing efforts to create a competitive advantage through cost reduction, consolidation of spend, improved service, reliability, and productivity.
  • Issues Management. Track and resolve issues across all supplier activities. Work closely with suppliers to improve performance and develop capabilities, performance measuring and management
  • Negotiate price, terms, and conditions relative to assigned commodities. Drive deals of medium to high complexity to successful conclusion without exposing new or unanticipated risk to the quality, timing, or reliability for the corporation.
  • Drive continuous improvement through supplier management.
  • Develop local/regional strategic plans in conjunction with business stakeholders; prepares, conducts RFP's & analyzes quotations; recommends supplier selection and implements negotiated contract.
  • Utilize planning and analytical skills to define and maintain the appropriate sourcing strategy. Must have strong MS Excel skills for analysis.
  • Keep current on the technology trends, market players and best practices.
  • Work extensively with global, inter-regional and inter- Business-Unit teams and stake holders to improve the organization's sourcing position.
  • Build effective relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Develop and present key metrics, forecasting, spend & savings reports and internal spend compliance.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years experience negotiating & managing commercial contracts.
  • 3-5 years experience in a strategic sourcing / supply chain/ operational role.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
