Job Description

The

Procurement Specialist

will strategically source and purchase materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and delivery requirements. Leads cost projects and new sourcing development to establish long-term agreements worldwide. Develop or enhance existing supply chains to improve to a world class level of operation.




What We're Looking For



The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent with at least three years' experience in a buyer role within a manufacturing environment. Preferably with minimum three years' experience in materials management including purchasing, production control, and inventory control. Previous experience with logistics, supply chain and/or supplier management is required.




Duties and Responsibilities





Source, procure and negotiate the best possible price for all purchases at Enervac.

Manage and oversee overall Supply Chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of materials as well as selection of suppliers.

On-going management, maintenance and organization of inventory analysis and stock levels (adjustments, investigations, max./mins, year-end).

Identify, Evaluate and Qualify new suppliers to ensure competitive and reliable supply chain

Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects

Maintain sales order inventory requirements for both spare parts orders and engineered orders.

Manage work order processing.

Maintain existing work orders to reflect true or actual costs.

Upkeep and adherence of ISO purchasing/receiving requirements.

Work with engineering and management to improve the work order and bill of material set up, processing and efficiency.

Balance production requirements against inventory levels and targets to maintain on-time deliveries and established lead times.

Track shipments lost or defective parts and work to resolve disputes and discrepancies.

Make pricing decisions based on previous standards regularly and customarily.

Perform varied assignments such as analyzing quotations, identifying sources and materials, expediting deliveries and purchasing items where standards have been established.

Interact with suppliers to make sure that all requirements are being met.

Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products.

Interface with accounting on all invoice discrepancies.

Authorize payment of invoices or return merchandise.

Initiate and maintain annual purchasing agreements.

Develop and maintain necessary records and files

Maintain status reports on individual orders to update the customer service department.

Maintain purchasing records including vendors, parts, pricing, shipping, product quality and performance.

Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.

Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.

Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.

Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.

On-Site - Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.

Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.


Required Experience and Education



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar is required A minimum of three (3) years' experience in purchasing with strong emphasis on procurement and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment is required. Minimum of three (3) years' experience with logistics, supply chain and/or supplier management preferred. Experience with ERP software required, Global Shop ERP experience a plus Ability to utilize advanced spreadsheet and analytical techniques. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook email/calendar, and Teams) products required. Ability to read, write, converse, and receive instructions in standard English required.


Physical and Technical Environment



Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. On-Site Monday to Friday days Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment. Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs. Clean and orderly manufacturing environment and/or normal office conditions.
