MoveUp Group 11, MIN $7,025.00 - MAX $8,435.00 is available through annual general wage/step increases.
Recruitment Range
: MIN $7,025 - STEP 3 $7,805.
Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In exceptional cases, candidates may be hired above the recruitment range, provided agreement is reached with the Union.

What you'll be doing...
The Procurement Department is looking for a proactive, results-oriented professional with extensive procurement experience to join our team as a full-time Procurement Officer.
In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Procurement Infrastructure, and play a key part in providing expert procurement services and strategic guidance to various BC Transit departments.
You will be involved in developing procurement strategies, planning, and managing the entire procurement lifecycle within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As the Procurement Officer, you will oversee a portfolio of large capital projects, including construction tendering and contract management. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, with a proven ability to independently manage complex, high-value procurement projects, particularly in the public sector. You possess excellent attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously, and a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.

What you'll bring to the table...
You are well versed in the document driven side of procurement, as you will go beyond sending bids or tenders out to companies for quotes. You are someone who can drive the process, working with Project Managers and developing requirement, deliverables, outcomes and negotiations, from start to finish. You have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from four months to two years, and in varying scale.
Public experience would be an asset, as you will be working with trade agreements, so understanding trade and administrative law is essential, as well as understanding how contracts work.
