Position Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the hospital's centralized procurement function to ensure the timely, cost-effective, ethical, and compliant acquisition of goods, services, equipment, and capital assets. The role ensures full adherence to the Ontario BPS Procurement Directive, trade agreements (CETA, CFTA), hospital policies, and internal financial controls.
The position supports clinical, administrative, and support departments by offering expert procurement guidance, high-quality customer service, supplier performance management, and project leadership to ensure optimal value, risk mitigation, and strong alignment with patient-care objectives.
The manager reports to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for a Contract Management Coordinator.

What we are looking for
Post-Secondary degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field
Certified as SCMP, CPPB, CPPS, PMAC or equivalent, preferred
3-5 years of experience in Public sector or hospital procurement, contracting, strategic sourcing, and supplier negotiation
Expert knowledge of BPSAA, CETA/CFTA, Canadian procurement law, and ethical procurement.
Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software, MS Office, and contract repositories.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
