Job Description

The Role:





SMYTHE is looking for a self-motivated, organized with a high attention to detail individual for our Procurement Coordinator role. The main responsibilities for this role will be to assist and work along side the Head of Procurement in the day-to-day tasks of each production cycle, create and submit purchase orders, and manage/track production orders. Once production orders are in house, it'll be the Procurement Coordinator's responsibility to allocate raw materials by factory. Experience with ERP is an asset. Netsuite will be the main tool used daily for purchase orders, style entry, bill of material creation/maintenance, and actualizing raw material inventory.




You Will:




Supplier Management: + Serve as the liaison between SMYTHE and suppliers by building and maintaining strong relationships to secure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
+ Maintain regular contact with suppliers with strong customer service skills to resolve any issues efficiently, and escalate risks when necessary
+ Setup and maintain supplier contacts in ERP
Procurement Execution: + Take full responsibility for all notion purchase order submissions, tracking, receiving, and factory allocation
+ Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve the best margins
+ Monitor purchase order delivery dates and update the team during the production cycle
Inventory Coordination: + Allocate notion inventory by factory, ensuring inventory is ready and available to start the production cycle with adhering to company deadlines
+ Validate and actualize raw material inventory post-production in ERP
+ Ensure timely restocking and efficient raw material inventory management



You Have:




Post-secondary education in fashion business or technical discipline and equivalent work experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in a purchasing role in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the retail industry) Proficiency in MS Office 365 and ERP systems (preferably Netsuite) Strong work ethic, creative problem solving, capable of working on own initiative Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Strong grasp of inventory management principles Ability to respond to urgent tasks and follow up on rapid changes occurring in the process Service oriented, diligent on follow up Experience working with suppliers across Europe and Asia Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset
