The City of Pitt Meadows is seeking a full-time Procurement and Contract Coordinator to lead and implement our procurement processes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our procurement strategy, while providing your expertise in procurement best practices.
This position works at a senior level to coordinate the procurement of a wide range of products and services through the selective quotation and formal tender procedures; processes requisitions and purchase orders; and liaises with departments on the development of specifications and evaluation criteria. They will assist departments through the procurement and contract process by explaining legal/ethical concerns, make recommendations on pre-award strategies, provide advice to mitigate risk, interpret terms and conditions, compile documentation for bids, and determine the appropriate method of procurement based on estimated expenditure. They are also responsible for monitoring/coordinating the City's lease, license to occupy, and other agreements.
Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 35-hour workweek. This position is also eligible for our Earned Day Off program (14-day option) and Remote Work Arrangement.
