Trouw Nutrition is hiring\xe2\x80\xa6 we are looking to add a Procurement Analyst to our team in Okotoks. Are you ready to work as an integral part of a highly energetic and motivated Procurement and Logistics team? You will be accountable for inbound commodity purchases for our 10 agricultural manufacturing facilities located across Western Canada.

As a Procurement Analyst with the Okotoks team, you will handle processing for direct to farm shipments, offsite warehouse receiving, in and outbound freight invoicing, analysis of purchase and landed cost variances. Our ideal candidate will not only learn our direct to farm business and freight invoicing process thoroughly but deep dive into discrepancies, cost leakages and efficiency opportunities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Daily analysis of Purchase Price Variances (PPV); escalating and investigating abnormalities
• Daily receiving of direct to farm inventory, ensuring accurate and timely billing to customers; Receiving offsite inventory
• Ensuring accuracy of offsite and direct to farm inventory balances
• Coding inbound freight invoices (high volume excel driven process), releasing accruals and reviewing accrual aging. Managing supplier relationships to ensure timely, accurate invoicing
• Liaise with department heads to identify areas of inbound landed cost leakage and process improvements
• Provide month-end slides with variance explanations on PPV\xe2\x80\x99s and inbound freight variances

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Roughly 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or procurement analysis
• Possess a clear understanding of standard business practices, inventory management, purchasing processes, supply chain management, and terminology
• Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, data driven analysis
• Ability to work in a team environment, or independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated collaboration, exceptional organizational and time management skills

NICE TO HAVE

• PowerBI or similar reporting software an asset.
• Experience with large ERP systems, manufacturing, freight considered an asset.
