Job Description

J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking candidates for the position of Procurement Administrator to join our Supply Chain Management Team. This role works very closely with our pulp and paper mill site (s), and is located within those manufacturing operations in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Entry (Site Purchase Orders and Requisitions)
• Obtain Competitive Quotes
• Source Parts and Services
• Negotiation(s)
• Assist with Spend Analysis
• Order Reconciliation
• Liaison between site and Accounting Department
• New Supplier Request (System Entry)
• Provide Training and Support to site

Qualifications:

• Post secondary education, or an equivalent amount of related experience
• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an strong skillset in MS Excel
• Process oriented with a high attention to detail
• Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently
• Previous purchasing experience is an asset
