Job Description
Position & Scope
The Processing Technician / Laborer at Protex Environmental is responsible for the various daily processing activities that occur at our facilities. This position is vital to the recycling operations at the site, and also contributes to other lines of business through deliveries, services, and customer interactions.
Key Accountabilities
Under general supervision and as part of a team, perform the following:
Assist customers on site in unloading and documenting materials dropped off Operate equipment to load/unload recycling machinery for various materials Remove non-recyclable materials from recycling stream and bale recycling for transport Keep all areas of the yard and recycle facility clean and well maintained Coordinate the removal of collected recyclables Complete documentation properly and ensure it is submitted Container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work Other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements
No experience necessary Must be physically fit Must have steel toed safety boots Good hand-eye coordination Safety conscious Mechanical aptitude/maintenance experience an asset Motivated and productive Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
