Summary

This role is accountable for directing the coordination and management of all defined and/or group-initiated activities, personnel and other resources involved in the analysis, planning, implementation, documentation, and support of Global Food operations process improvement projects. This job works closely with all levels within the group and facility to ensure the effective completion of projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, coach and mentor the management staff within the Operations Improvement group in a participative management style that is conducive to individual development, team dynamics and supports our group and overall operational goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of our process lines and overall plant operations by reviewing plant performance reports, participating in Lean/Six Sigma plant teams and initiatives and through observations and input from plant employees during visits to each facility.
• Support the Global Food Capital Planning process by providing the necessary research, collection of facts, summation of data on potential capital improvements to the Global Food management group for the expressed purpose of improving plant: safety, operations, efficiencies, operating costs and product quality.
• Work with the different segments of the Manufacturing Services Team as needed to provide support and assistance as they create new policies, and improve procedures in their respective disciplines and implement those changes at the plant level.
• Direct, lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams through the use of Project Management techniques/processes and activities that require evaluation, planning, communication, implementation and follow-up. In addition, requires the ability to lead decision making processes, lead root cause analysis, utilize available improvement tools (such as lean manufacturing), provide analytical & financial analysis and studies as required, and drive non-capital improvements at our facilities.

Typical Education

Bachelor\'s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training
