About the Role

We are seeking a Process Tester to join our Technical & Environmental Department on a 1-year contract (with potential renewal). Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and environmental compliance through accurate sampling and testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Collect and test pulp, paper and wood chip samples. Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance Testing. Record and analyze data; prepare spreadsheets and reports. Collect, test and ship regulatory and non-regulatory environmental samples.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering or related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Self-motivated team player with flexibility to adjust hours based on mill production needs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mill is 13 km from Whitecourt)

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust) Comfortable standing, walking, or kneeling for extended periods of time




This position is based at the ANC mill site. You must be located in or willing to relocate to Whitecourt, AB if chosen as the successful applicant. Shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, with occasional overtime on evenings and weekends.
