Job Summary

Centoco Plastics is looking for an energetic, hands-on Process Technician for a fast-paced plastics mold injection facility.

This role will focus on ensuring effective and efficient operations of all plant equipment by maintaining all equipment to a quality performance level through regular preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong injection molding background, a technical knowledge of equipment and tooling, an understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principles, be organized and a motivated self-starter.

Responsibilities

Ensure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and processes are set to regulation parameters, meet quality standards, and all production goals. Set up and start up molding machines, read blueprints, and check products with calipers, and other testing methods and devices. Provide feedback on mold design and assist engineering to dial in each mold for optimal cycle time and quality. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and document process changes. Some facility maintenance duties and other duties as required.

Requirements

Must be able to work a 3-shift rotation
2-week rotations

Midnights (11:00PM - 7:30AM)

Afternoons (3:00PM - 11:30PM)

Days (7:00AM - 3:30PM)

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in plastic injection molding. Able to read and interpret drawings. Experience in mold changeovers. Understand the variables of components and raw material. Able to multi-task. Attention to detail and Standing for extended periods is required.
