Embedded with an offshore operator, your typical roles and responsibilities are listed below. The expected
core competencies
include, but are not limited to the following:
Start-up, operation and shut down of offshore process and utility plants
Working knowledge of the Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Control System (ECS), and Fire & Gas System (FGS) would be considered a strong asset
Working knowledge of local regulatory codes and practices
Working knowledge of computers and computerized maintenance management systems
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
Leadership and teamwork skills to support a team-based approach to construction and maintenance activities
Understanding of the permit to work system
Working knowledge of safety practices common to the industry
Other training as deemed necessary by operator.
Professional Certification:
Process / Chemical / Petroleum Technologist qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Safety Training (may be provided if candidate does not have):
Basic Survival Training (BST)
Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S)
Work Permit Training (WMS)
Arc Flash
Confined Space Entry
Authorized Gas Tester
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015
