The De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to join the Process Plant Team at the Gahcho Ku\xc3\xa9 Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Process Plant Supervisor and working a two (2) weeks in / two (2) weeks out rotation, this permanent position is responsible for feeding ore into the process plant from the ore stockpiles. The ideal candidate will be one who enjoys multi-tasking, is results oriented and is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating the Kamatsu WA900 loaders supplying ore to the process plant primary crusher;
• Monitoring, inspect equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating normally;
• Assist with crushing operations;
• Clean up duties, when required;
• Completing and maintaining plant logs and reports; and
• Maintaining areas and responsibilities according to standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance.

This is a site-based position with two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotation.

Qualifications

Formal qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent life skills;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Mine on front end loaders.
• Experience in similar roles feeding process plants considered an asset;
• Strong communication skills; and
• Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
