Process, Learning & Compliance Specialist

Job Description


We are looking for a Process, Learning & Compliance Specialist to be located in the Fredericton or Woodstock, NB office. As a Process, Learning & Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities by assessing business or process requirements using the Business Process Framework, or working with teams to build new processes. You would lead process development initiatives cross-departmentally to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external customers. You will manage the process life cycle through design, implementation, optimization, redesign and renewal of core processes. You will have the opportunity to assist in Corporate projects to ensure that all components of the coordination come together smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Project Management and cross functional teams to develop, test and document new policies, procedures and business rules.
  • Create/update content to be used as part of training materials, internal communications, flow charts and other internal documents.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external customers.
  • Review and coordinate updating, improving and maintaining existing process and policy documents.
  • Assist with project coordination on an as-needed basis by managing teams across groups or departments during project execution, & manage scheduling.
  • Communication between team members, coordinate and/or present necessary materials that lead teams to understanding, produce meeting minutes, reports, updates, and project documentation.
  • Initiate and lead discussions to identify and create documents and for Business requirements, communication plans and process flows.
  • Create and present training materials, flow charts, policy documents, communication plans and other internal or external documents.
  • Respond to inquiries, explaining and clarifying new/existing process documentation.
  • Create an maintain internal and external knowledge bases.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. Business/Policy Development, Education, Adult Education, Communications) or applicable experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Policy writing, Process Design & Development, Process Mapping and Content Development.
  • Experience in working with subject matter experts from different channels to Process Map, complete GAPS Analysis, and present findings to help facilitate process improvements.
  • Experience with Microsoft OS and creating process flows using Microsoft Visio.
  • Demonstrate written communication and documentation skills, with the ability to position communication to align with business goals and corporate messaging.
  • Ability to review large documents, summarize, and present approach to improvements.
  • Proven record of excellent people skills, including good communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or satellite TV industry or some related field.
  • Facilitation skills would be an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing technical environment.
  • Multi-tasking comes naturally and the ability to shift smoothly between and amongst many different projects and initiatives.
  • Very strong time management/self-management skills with an attention to detail.
