About the Opportunity
Our Public Sector Client is seeking a skilled Process Improvement Consultant to lead the analysis, documentation, and enhancement of key business workflows across multiple departments.
This position will focus on streamlining processes, identifying inefficiencies, and promoting greater consistency and accountability across operations. The consultant will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand how various teams operate, identify challenges, and design process improvements that enhance clarity, efficiency, and user experience.
The successful candidate will bring a structured approach to process design - balancing operational efficiency with sound governance and audit readiness.
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct end-to-end process reviews with departmental teams to map workflows, highlight inefficiencies, and identify areas for improvement
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather insights, assess operational challenges, and document best practices
  • Develop clear and user-friendly process maps, SOPs, and templates that promote standardization across departments
  • Create standardized documentation outlining internal controls, approval paths, and workflow steps (both within systems and through manual processes)
  • Collaborate with management and staff to design streamlined, practical solutions that reduce redundancies and improve efficiency while maintaining accountability
  • Document both system-based processes (e.g., within Microsoft Dynamics 365) and non-system workflows, ensuring transparency and ease of access
  • Support change adoption by communicating process updates clearly and aligning improvements with broader organizational objectives
  • Provide continuous improvement recommendations, identifying opportunities for automation, enhanced documentation, and cross-departmental coordination
  • Ensure that all processes comply with internal governance standards and support audit readiness as required
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
Education and Training:
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, business administration, process management, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience in arts, culture, or not-for-profit sectors
  • Min. 5 years experience in financial process mapping, internal control documentation, and process improvement within a complex organization
  • Strong understanding of workflow design, process mapping, and documentation methodologies
  • Knowledge of deferred revenue accounting, contract management, and financial appendices related to artist or performance contracts
  • Experience with ERP or workflow management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Ceridian Dayforce, or Tessitura CRM
  • Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build trust across departments
  • English essential; French is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into accessible and actionable documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deliverables independently
