INVISTA\'s manufacturing location in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Process Engineer who has experience and a passion for leading continuous improvements to join our Site Quality Team. As a key member of our Site Quality Team, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical and quality capabilities to lead continuous improvement initiatives towards our quality systems and product quality.

The successful candidate in this role will be self-driven with a passion for leading continuous improvement initiatives. The selected individual will have a proven track record of solving technical problems through the application of data analysis techniques and problem-solving methodology. This individual will work cross-functionally to drive strategic quality initiatives throughout the organization. What You Will Do

  • Apply your sound statistical data capability to improve our application of statistical process control (SPC) for critical release points.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs/projects aimed at reducing quality risk and reducing variability in our manufacturing processes.
  • Provide leadership role in building a quality capability across our Site including the application of PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, advanced problem solving, and 6 Sigma.
  • Apply appropriate risk-based thinking (PFMEA) to proactively identify opportunities to reduce our quality risk profile.
  • Develop and recommend economically feasible improvement proposals to Senior Leadership.
  • Network with our Global Sites with Koch Industries and others in industry to understand best practices and potential opportunities to advance our quality capabilities.
  • Interface with the Global Quality Team to partner on common initiatives and/or leverage common technologies or practices.
  • Interface with customers to understand their unmet needs and translate those into improvement initiatives at our Site.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or technical field
  • Manufacturing experience with a proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives/projects/programs within a cross functional team and demonstrated leadership in operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand opportunities for improvement and solve complex problems by implementing sustainable solutions, and application of problem-solving methodologies (root cause, 5-why)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and apply statistics to generate knowledge systems that present actionable information.
  • Effective communication with cross functional teams (operating teams, customers, global quality colleagues), ability to lead team meetings, program management, and leadership engagement.
  • Willing and able to travel (Domestic and international)
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Demonstrated application of Automotive Quality Core Tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA/CP, APQP, PPAP)
  • Demonstrated application of additional Quality Capabilities (Auditing, Gage R&R, 3L5W, Poka Yoke, VOC, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of economics, value create and risk-based thinking for continuous improvement.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Applications like Excel and Power Bi, and data manipulation (SQL coding) to support data analysis.
