INVISTA (Canada) located in Kingston, Ontario has an opening for a Process Controls Engineer. As one of the largest facilities in the world for nylon 6,6 airbag fibre production we have a broad range of engineering applications in both chemical and mechanical processes.

The process engineering team is a group of data-driven individuals who take initiative and apply technical expertise to advance our fibre manufacturing processes and equipment. We work in cross functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize, innovate, and execute projects in order to improve safety, reliability, quality, and productivity. What You Will Do

The role consists of providing technical and process support to our Operations facilities at Kingston Site, including:

• Using data analytics and economic thinking to identify and develop value propositions for new ideas that improve safety, reliability, quality, and productivity.
• Lead and deliver on innovative experiments, process optimizations, and capital projects to improve site competitiveness.
• Troubleshoot processes by applying Root Cause Analysis methodologies and statistical tools to solve multi-variable problems.
• Building strong collaborative relationships with other teams and leaders across the site and the business.
• The ability to challenge the status quo, prioritizes based on risk and value, is solution-oriented, and meets deadlines.
• Commit to ongoing learning and developing new skills while demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Embrace and live the core values of Principle Based Management\xc2\xae

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with leading capitals project or a team
• Experience analyzing complex data sets, making recommendations to solve complex multi-variate problems.
