Minimum Requirements:

Education:

College Diploma or Skilled-Trade Certificate of Qualification (CoQ). (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of completion for the highest level of education attained. If the diploma/degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).

Experience

:


Experience working in manufacturing. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Availability to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/evening) as required.

Preferred Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors' degree in a related discipline.


1+ years' experience working with and supervising unionized workforce and understanding of CBA. (collective bargaining agreement) Safety and Quality experience preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook). Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power Take-Off). Helium leak stand experience (specific to Power Take-Off). Adept problem-solving and conflict management skills. Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.

The primary responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

Coach team members

on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized work.

Optimize production

throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectives.

Monitor ANDON

(a system to notify production issues) occurrences and serve as the initial responder for secondary support.

Verify the production line

's safe and smooth operation, and its output of quality parts, through Process Confirmation.

Support Kaizen

(Continuous Improvement) initiatives and coach problem resolution at the lowest possible level.

Meet targets

for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses.

Build the capability

of both Team Leaders and Team Members.

Create a conducive work environment

that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.

Ensure effective communication

and recognition within the team. *

Perform basic administration

of supervisory duties and documentation.
