Stavely Elementary School is looking to fill two full time probationary teaching positions for the 2025-2026 school year.


Stavely Elementary School is a vibrant, engaging, forward moving, multi-grade K-6 school located with a sight line of the foothills and within a community that values our school and education.


We are looking for educators who are:

hard working innovative committed to being part of the school community have 7 Habits of Highly Effective People experience, training, or interest value a sense of belonging, academic rigor, fun, and exploration committed to growth or experience with numeracy and literacy as foundational academic skills comfortable with or experienced with multi grade classrooms A background in physical education and wellness k- 6 knowledgeable about balanced literacy, sound reading and writing practice (e.g. UFLI) value student leadership and cultivate it throughout the school experience have a heart for kids, learning, and trying new things lifelong learners committed to ongoing learning about best pedagogical practices across all parts of the curriculum and school experience knowledgeable about the curriculum and are able to implement and use outcome based assessment. supportive of the inclusive education model ensuring success for all learners with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and/ or cultural needs within the classroom setting passionate about working with ethnically diverse students, including First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students creative and able to integrate fine arts experiences within the classroom, as well as performances which are open to the community (e.g. Remembrance Day Ceremony & Christmas Concert) well organized and have strong classroom management skills reflective in their professional practice, and committed to ongoing growth in regards to the TQS

The successful candidate must be in possession of, or eligible for, an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will commence on August 25, 2025 and end on June 26, 2026.


Located in Stavely, Alberta, Stavely School is a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. It is a K-6 school with approximately 90 students. At Stavely School, the staff, families, community and students work together to build a strong school community with outstanding academic and athletic programs.
