Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide academic support and mentorship to students across various age groups. This is for in person tutoring and you need to be willing to travel to Petroila, Sarnia, Corunna and Wyoming. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. Duties

Deliver personalized tutoring sessions in specific subjects to students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student motivation and confidence Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and student performance Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching techniques as appropriate

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or in classroom settings Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and motivate students Passion for education and helping students succeed academically Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs Prior experience working with children is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills and reliability in scheduling sessions A background in education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
