Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our dynamic team at Tutor Teach, located in St Albert, Alberta. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing student learning experiences and helping them achieve their academic goals through personalized support and guidance.

Responsibilities

Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects, primarily focusing on French. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and feedback. Stay updated with educational best practices and incorporate them into tutoring sessions.

Qualifications

Accredited or in-pursuit of a post-secondary degree (BEd, BA, BSc, BKin, Bcomm, etc) Proven experience working with children in an educational setting. Strong background in tutoring or teaching, particularly in language subjects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying ages. Familiarity with special education practices is an asset. Proficiency in math or related subjects is preferred but not mandatory. Computer skills for online tutoring sessions are beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week

Work Location: In person
