About Us

Golden Hour Education Centre is a small tutoring company based in Calgary, AB. We work directly with students and families to provide clear, supportive help in school subjects. Our sessions are practical, consistent, and tailored to each student's learning style.

The Role

We're currently looking for tutors who can teach

Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Social Studies and ELA.

All sessions are offered

in person at public libraries

-- never at students' homes.
Candidates must be available for

in-person sessions in Calgary and surrounding areas

. Flexibility is a must, even if you are taking a public transit.

You'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule. While hours are not guaranteed, our client base is growing quickly, and we do our best to match tutors with students based on their strengths and availability.

What You'll Do

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to each student's needs. Support students in the subjects you're confident teaching. Prepare or adapt lesson materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress (a short written feedback after each session - about 2-3 minutes to write - may be required). Communicate with families clearly and respectfully when needed.

What We're Looking For

Familiarity with the Alberta Curriculum

is required. Comfortable with a flexible schedule and occasional short-notice requests. Strong English communication skills (additional languages are an asset). Reliable, respectful, and approachable. Clear and professional communicator with students, families, and our team. Available for

in-person

sessions (not online for now). Available to respond to emails / texts in a timely manner ( extremely important)

Hours:

Flexible, based on your availability.

Pay:

$22 CAD / hour for in-person sessions at the library closest to the student.
