Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each participant. Assess students' swimming abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various swimming techniques and safety practices. Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water conditions. Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including equipment used during lessons. Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, concerns, or upcoming events.

Skills

Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of varying ages and abilities. Proficient in swimming techniques with a solid understanding of water safety practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback. Patience and adaptability to work with diverse learners in a supportive manner. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week
