The Culture of Nightingale Counselling

At Nightingale Counselling, there are consistent opportunities to talk and work and struggle through the everyday problems of being a counsellor with peers and clinical leaders. This is the very heart of Nightingale Counselling. We have learned that the effect of working in such an environment produces better client outcomes, because counsellors that are maximally supported by their peers, clinical leadership, and administrative team are maximally effective. This is what work looks like at Nightingale.

But of course, all work and no play does not make for well rounded counsellors and people. Over the past couple of years, we have worked to offer a variety of ways in which Nightingale employees can enjoy each other in non-work ways, including end of month get-togethers and a group of folks that run together.

What a current Nightingale Counsellor has to offer about their experience working at the practice:

Nightingale Counselling is a unique flavor--an identity--not a brand. It's a group of counsellors who have unlimited curiosity, compassion, and joy. Nightingale push the limits of what I thought a career in counselling could offer. It is not a siloed, each counsellor working their casework alone approach, but rather offers an environment that promotes growth, tests our limits of clinical understanding, and brings to life the very reason I chose this career. I care deeply about people and their experience and they have curated the space in which I can explore all aspects of humanity.
