Job Description

Love working with kids? We're looking for a nurse (RPN or RN) to work with our son (youth) who is ventilator dependent, in a wheelchair (has low tone), and requires 24/7 airway monitoring. He is a typical boy but needs help to access the world.

Location: Baltimore, ON

Approx. 9-22 hours/week (more hours available if wanted)

Every other Saturday - 9am - 6 pm 2-3 evening shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday): 3:45 pm - 10 PM
During your shift you will be responsible for:

managing respiratory care (including ventilator and suction machines), managing trach care, g-tube feeds, managing gtube care, administering medications, using a cough assist (an artificial cough assistant device), Range of motion, physio, experience with Hoyer lift, activities of daily living (ADLs), general care as needed, and comfortable using technology (computer, IPads, video games, etc).
Requirements:

Current unrestricted license to practice through the College of Nurses of Ontario A valid driver's license and vehicle A clear vulnerable sector check Current CPR certification Proof of liability insurance (if you're registered through CNO you have it already) Availability to evenings, and weekends.
