We're seeking a talented, thoughtful, and reliable Private Chef to join our growing team at Real Roots Kitchen and support our in-home clients with elevated, nourishing meals that fit seamlessly into real life.
This role is ideal for a chef who values high-quality ingredients, intentional cooking, and personalized service, and who enjoys cooking for families in their homes during daytime hours. Experience as a private or personal chef is a strong asset.
What You'll Do
Design and execute customized weekly menus for families based on preferences, dietary needs, and lifestyle goals (gluten-free, dairy-free, high-protein, kid-friendly, etc.)
Prepare fresh, balanced, and flavorful meals using seasonal, whole-food ingredients
Work efficiently and independently in clients' home kitchens while maintaining a calm, professional presence
Follow proper food safety, handling, and storage protocols at all times
Keep kitchens clean, organized, and respected as if they were your own
Communicate clearly with both clients and our internal team to ensure consistency and quality
Contribute ideas and inspiration to evolving menus and offerings as we grow
Who You Are
A confident, capable cook with hands-on experience in food preparation and service
Passionate about nutrition-forward, holistic cooking that still feels comforting and enjoyable
Highly organized, efficient, and comfortable managing your time in a fast-paced environment
Professional, personable, and able to build trust with families and individuals
Knowledgeable in food safety standards and best practices
Background in hospitality, wellness, or private/personal cheffing is a plus
