PSW, caregiver, or RPN in private Oakville home for male with ALS. Permanent Part time weekends. Students in these programs are welcome to apply, foreign trained nurses also considered. Must be local and have Social Insurance Number. KINDLY read full ad carefully before applying. Must have car. Hiring for long term No Agencies, Not a cash job, Must be fully vaccinated, No sponsorship Patient has ALS, a great sense of humour, uses a wheelchair, and requires assistance with all Activities of Daily Living. He is non-verbal and uses technology to communicate. We seek a quick learner who can manage the physical nature of caring for somebody who cannot move or speak on his own, and once trained, can take initiative and follow the routine independently. Experience as a nurse or PSW is helpful but not required, but related caregiver experience is necessary. Hours are Weekends: 10 AM - 2 PM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• dressing, showering (one day only), grooming, ceiling lift transfer, meds, g-tube feeding, tidy up, light range of motion exercises
• Training provided
• No toileting

WAGES: You will receive aT4 @ $22.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay minus regular payroll deductions (income tax, EI, and CPP). Biweekly paycheque Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Experience:

• caregiving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
