Job Description
Job Title: Print Production Manager
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
Oversee the
entire print production process
from concept to final delivery.Coordinate
with designers, clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment. Developproduction schedules
and ensure deadlines are met.Job Planning & Estimating
Review and approve
job specs, layouts, proofs, and mock-ups.
Obtain and comparevendor quotes
for printing, paper, and materials. Determinecost estimates
and manage print budgets.Vendor & Supplier Management
Source and manage relationships with
external print vendors
and suppliers. Negotiatepricing, timelines, and quality standards.
Ensure vendors comply withtechnical and quality requirements.
Quality Control
Conduct quality checks on
proofs, colour matching, press runs,
and finished materials. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues such asdelays, errors, or defects.
Maintain high standards ofprint accuracy, colour integrity, and material finish.
File & Asset Management
Ensure artwork files are
print-ready
(bleeds, resolution, colour format). Work closely with designers to prepare or adjust files for specificprint specs.
Reporting & Compliance
Track and report on
project progress
, costs, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance withenvironmental regulations
, safety standards, and brand guidelines.Key Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of
printing processes
: offset, digital, large-format, screen printing, etc. Familiarity withprepress
andfile preparation
software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) Strongorganization, multitasking, and problem-solving
abilities. Excellentcommunication
andvendor negotiation
skills. Budget management andcost efficiency
focus.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,600.00-$53,243.00 per year
Work Location: In person
