Southern Okanagan Secondary School
Located in Oliver, British Columbia, on the traditional territory of the Sukenaqin people, Southern Okanagan Secondary School (SOSS) is situated in one of the province's warmest climates surrounded by stunning vineyards, thriving fruit orchards, and breathtaking landscapes.
SOSS is a vibrant Grade 8-12 school with approximately 500 students and 70 dedicated staff members, housed in a modern state-of-the-art facility. The school offers a wide range of programs, including Advanced Placement courses, a strong fine arts program, experiential land-based learning, and career focused opportunities such as work experience and trades training, alongside a full complement of academic courses.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to guide our school team and contribute to our district's strong and collaborative leadership group. Salary Range for this position is
$157,240 - $165, 664

Qualifications and Preferred Skill Set:
Master's degree in educational leadership, curriculum, administration or another related field and a BC teaching certificate (or credentials to qualify for one) with experience in secondary learning environments and strong pedagogy;
Proven Instructional leadership and administration, enhancing student achievement in secondary education;
Demonstrated capacity to oversee a school's vision, strategy, and operations, ensuring alignment with district plans;
Experience fostering strong connections with staff, students, parents, rightsholders, stakeholders, and educational partners;
Proven commitment to creating inclusive and equitable experiences for students and staff;
Experience fostering strong relationships with Indigenous communities, integrating local history, culture, and traditions;
Proven effective fiscal management experience;
Demonstrated strong conflict resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills.
