What will you do?Support development of investment strategies for all IMCO's asset classes. This will require close partnership with asset classes and investors + Support reviews of asset classes, recommend asset class changes required to deliver on IMCO's target returns and NVA (Net Value Added?)
+ Execute deep dives into new investment sectors
+ Establish knowledge of emerging themes / trends, maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge on key topics by leveraging key leadership forums to inform asset class strategies and investment decision-making to drive investment excellence and superior returns
+ Effectively use a wide range of internal and external resources to build expertise and drive to an answer to large-scale investment-related topics and trends.
Support portfolio and performance analysis to generate and communicate insights for senior stakeholders + Lead comprehensive portfolio analysis to evaluate returns, attribution, factor exposures etc leveraging quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
+ Support development and communication of performance narratives across asset classes for both internal and external audiences
In addition to asset class investment strategies, support development of critical strategic initiatives and priorities for the front office to deliver on IMCO's five-year strategy and corporate priorities (Investment Excellence, Cost-efficient operations) and drive execution through cross-functional senior stakeholder engagement. + Support scoping of strategy projects within and across asset classes on a range of high-priority topics and complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
+ Structure complex problems, identifying underlying issues and paths to resolution.
+ Conduct and oversee complex, accurate quantitative and qualitative analyses to support. recommendations and able to distill a wide range of information into valuable and actionable insights.
+ Analyze asset class and cross-asset-class themes and issues, identify root causes, recommend solutions.
Support asset classes on operationalizing of strategic initiative and asset class level value creation interventions + Drive execution and value delivery by partnering across IMCOs functions and committees to facilitate decision making and resolve roadblocks.
+ Develop actionable implementation plans and engage with the broader organization to ensure smooth execution and value delivery.
As a credible and trusted front office representative bringing a front office / investments perspective to influence key decisions (KPIs/internalization benefits, business planning for asset classes etc) and an advocate for investment strategies and front office initiatives across the organization. Effectively communicate (memos, presentations etc) investment strategies and recommendations to stakeholders including Senior executives and IMCO Investment and other committees, as well as clients ensuring clear and concise delivery of complex investment concepts and insights Be a champion of collaboration, by proactively working with stakeholders to mobilize teams and bring partners together through open dialogue to drive towards a common goal and approach.

What do you need to succeed?4+ years of experience in management consulting, investing, or investment banking or other relevant experience. A university degree in business, finance, economics, or a relevant field. A graduate-level degree (e.g. Master of Business, Finance or Accounting) or a professional designation (i.e. CFA) is a plus. Extensive experience with a range of asset classes and/or investment strategy topics - with interest and curiosity to learn. Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking. Highly developed leadership and influencing capabilities, ability to effectively develop relationships across the organization. Experience structuring problems, developing frameworks for analysis and driving to decision and action, delivering business results. Experience developing business strategies. Experience leading the preparation and implementation of investment strategies and plans. Strong analytical skills, fluency with both quantitative modeling and qualitative research, business judgement Exceptional written communications skills to report complex information in a clear, concise manner. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills required to exchange complex information and to present information, as well as to build key working relationships. Project management skills, including scoping, resolving ambiguity, project structuring, and driving to next order of questions and to output. Proven ability to provide thought leadership, experience managing relationships with senior / subject matter expert stakeholders. Team player who enjoys a collaborative environment and high-performance culture.
