As a

Principal Engineering Manager

, you will lead a team of engineers, shape technical strategy and drive innovation to ensure every interaction in Microsoft Teams feel seamless, responsive, and trustworthy while fostering a culture of inclusion.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of software engineers, providing coaching and career development. Define technical strategy and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features and services. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align priorities and execution. Champion engineering, reliability, and security. Foster an inclusive team culture that values diversity and psychological safety

Qualifications

------------------

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of management experience in software engineering.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Solid technical background in large-scale full-stack applications. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience with React, Typescript/Javascript, FluentUI.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $142,400 - CAD $257,500 per year.
