Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport to medical facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Duties

Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the necessary course of action. Provide advanced life support and basic life support as needed, including administering medications and performing medical procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to provide clear information regarding patient conditions and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Collaborate with hospital staff during patient handoff to ensure continuity of care. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required when transporting patients or equipment. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical practices and protocols.

Qualifications

Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited program. Previous hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to emergency care. Experience in medication administration, including understanding dosages and potential side effects. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of patient transport duties. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care. Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 60 per week
