Job Summary
At Primal Athletics, we are looking for an energetic, passionate, and dynamic Fitness Coach to join our growing team. As a key part of the Primal Athletics community, you will provide group fitness instruction, personal training, and contribute to a motivating and professional environment. Our ideal candidate is someone with a background in Kinesiology or fitness training, who is eager to learn and grow within the Primal Athletics training model.
Responsibilities
Lead and instruct group exercise classes using the Primal Athletics model, ensuring an engaging and motivating atmosphere.
Provide personal training sessions, assessing client movement, developing personalized fitness plans, and tracking progress.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive gym environment, where clients feel valued and motivated to achieve their fitness goals.
Assist with member orientation, gym tours, and introduction to classes and equipment.
Collaborate with the team to promote classes and personal training, contributing to client satisfaction and retention.
Ensure gym cleanliness and perform regular equipment maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
Stay up-to-date with Primal Athletics protocols and continue learning to enhance coaching skills.
Qualifications
A university/college degree or student in Kinesiology, Health and Fitness, or related field.
Certification in personal training (ACE, NASM, ACSM, CanFitPro, etc.) is recommended.
CPR/AED certification is mandatory.
1+ years of experience in personal training or group fitness instruction is preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Able to work collaboratively with a team while taking initiative and leading by example.
Passionate about fitness and able to provide a high-energy, motivating environment for members.
