The Pressure Control Specialist is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and tracking of the wireline PCE and Rig Lock system for both Tier 1 energy and Canatex.
Roles and Responsibilities
:
Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Energy Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore understand and adhere to any client's policies and procedures;
Ability to promote safety awareness; and Service quality awareness
Works under the direction of the Management safely, efficiently according to established standards, policies and guidelines;
Ensuring compliance with all regulations
Assisting in servicing and maintenance of PCE
Develop and implementation of PCE Tracking in regards to Both Operations and Rentals
Ensuring all Certifications are current and up to date and made available to all crews prior to the start of jobs.
Assisting with development and implementation of new and existing SOP and SOI
Will be responsible for assisting in the training of the Rig Lock system and invoicing to new and existing clients
Will work directly with Rental Companies in order to arrange and track rental PCE equipment
Demonstrates superior leadership
Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to mentor and willingness to learn and grow within Tier 1;
Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written English instructions and effectively communicate information to others;
Basic math skills (additions, subtraction, multiplication and division);
Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field;
Ability to work in a positive team environment;
Ability to work with hand and power tools;
Mechanical aptitude;
Required to keep all applicable certifications up to date as required by Tier 1's Quality and HSE.
Ability to operate independently;
Ability to champion a company safety culture.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions;
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
Exposure to high noise over 85 dba.
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or Equivalent Experience;
H2S (an asset);
Class 3 Drivers License (a must);
First Aid/CPR (an asset);
Must be able to obtain a Blaster License;
PAL License (an asset).
Qualifications:
Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1's policies;
5 year commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1's guidelines;
Results from a back ground check must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1's guidelines;
Must have acceptable National Dose History results as per Tier 1's guidelines;
Ability to travel;
Must be approved by Service Canada to work with explosives.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
