We are looking for a

Press Operator

to join our team in Newmarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the stamping and production of metal building products through the operation of stamping presses.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

Daily inspections of press Load coil Feeding/loading coil Die setup Preparing labels for boxes Producing product using various presses Inspection of product Packaging product Stack boxes onto skids Complete production paperwork Report press or die issues to maintenance General housekeeping of work area Other duties as required Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Attention to Detail Strong organizational skills Willingness to work to meet deadlines Ability to work well independently as well as in a team Effective communicator with co-workers and all levels of management

Education/Certification/Experience

Forklift experience and certification (asset)

Physical Demands

Standing for long periods of time Bending, twisting, wrist flexing in awkward positions Heavy lifting up to 25-30 kg Noise (machinery, punch presses)

Shift & Pay details:

Afternoon shift, 3pm - 12am Monday - Friday (afternoon shift premium applies) Starting rate from $21.80/hour (depending on experience)
