Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team at ASAP Window Wells. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Press Brake Operator plays a vital part in ensuring manufacturing efficiency and product quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications Experience in Window Well manufacturing is an asset Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine dimensions and bending angles Adjust machine settings for precise bending operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards Perform routine maintenance and calibration of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measuring tools, and visual checks to verify accuracy of finished parts Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and coordinate with other machining operations such as CNC laser cutting, CNC milling, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, welding, and CNC programming as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper handling of hand tools and mechanical equipment Assist in troubleshooting machine issues promptly to minimize downtime

Skills



Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of mechanical principles Experience with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine is a plus Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise fabrication Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection techniques Familiarity with crane operation, forklift handling is advantageous but not mandatory Strong math skills including basic calculations for measurements and angles Knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and general manufacturing practices is desirable Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety standards
