Position Overview

We're seeking two detail-oriented individuals to operate and maintain our Blackbird pre roll machine. This machine automatically measures, dispenses, and seals pre-rolls, streamlining the production process. The ideal candidate has a knack for basic mechanical tasks, is comfortable around cannabis and moving parts, and is ready to learn the ins and outs of an advanced piece of production equipment while adhering to Health Canada's cannabis regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Calibration:

Level and calibrate the machine, ensure parts are properly aligned, and pressure and connectivity.

Operation & Monitoring:

Use the touchscreen interface to set weights, tension, and speeds. Watch for errors or sensor issues.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Clear jams or minor errors, change, adjust, and keep an eye on moving parts.

Quality Control:

Verify correct weights, ensure overall product consistency, and adjust machine settings for high-quality rolls.

Cleaning & Upkeep:

Follow a daily cleaning schedule to meet safety and compliance requirements as well as maintain the longevity of the machine.

Qualifications

Full time availability, non negotiable. 7:00am - 5:30pm, Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday. Familiarity with basic mechanical processes (e.g., gear or belt adjustments, simple tool usage). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures. Solid communication skills for reporting machine performance, material usage, or technical issues. Comfort with touchscreen interfaces and willingness to learn machine-specific software. Prior experience in manufacturing or production lines is a plus, but not required.
