Position Overview

The Prepress / Graphic Designer plays a key role in preparing client artwork for print production. This position involves file preparation, layout adjustments, proofing, and ensuring print-ready accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in working with packaging, large format, and commercial print files.

Key Responsibilities

Review and prepare client-supplied artwork for various print processes (digital, offset, large format, corrugated, etc.)

Set up dielines, bleeds, trims, folds, and spot colors according to production requirements

Create or adjust layouts to meet manufacturing tolerances and finishing specifications

Perform preflight checks and ensure files are print-ready (fonts, resolution, color profiles, trapping, etc.)

Collaborate with account managers, press operators, and finishing teams to ensure accuracy and quality

Produce digital proofs and mockups for internal and client approvals

Maintain organized file management and naming conventions for efficient workflow

Troubleshoot file issues quickly and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Secondary Roll, support and assist for Digital Printing on toner machines.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in prepress, graphic design, or print production

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign (Mac or PC environment)

Solid understanding of print production requirements (CMYK, spot colors, varnishes, dielines, imposition, etc.)

Experience with packaging, signage, or display graphics is a strong asset

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management

Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
