Job Description

Dixon Ink is a local print shop that has been in business for 10 years. We strive to provide the best service and prices in the Niagara Region. We are looking to hire someone who has graphic design and print production experience.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Take action to learn product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
• Operate office machines in the store including: computers, digital printers, Wide Format Printer, copiers, scanner, phone, fax machine, binding machine and point of sale terminal.
• Perform regular maintenance including calibration on the printers.
• Adjust the various parameters and ensure print quality
• Perform quality assurance of printed materials and substrates (colours, dust control, print imperfections, alignment, sizing, etc)
• Finish jobs according to work orders (laminating, trimming, and hand work as required)
• Responsible for timely and quality output of assigned jobs
• Monitors and participates in production to ensure quality standards, standard operating procedures, while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Get files ready to print that customer has sent.
• Knowledge of design principles related to typography, colour theory, font selection and composition
• Excellent proficiency with CorelDraw, Illustrator, VersaWorks, Word, Excel, Indesign, Photoshop, Command Workstation
• Good sense of observation, analysis, and high attention to detail
• Skilled in prioritizing, organizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently to complete required tasks
• Able to meet tight deadlines

Must live in the Niagara Region. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Benefits:

Experience:
