Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and contribute to the overall efficiency of our culinary operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning for use in recipes
- Assist in cooking and baking tasks under the supervision of the Chef
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate food production
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Understanding of basic cooking methods and techniques
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
