The Preparations Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the team that prepares, cleans, stocks, and readies CanaDream units for rental and sale, ensuring all work meets company standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This role involves staff supervision, inventory and budget management, process improvement, and direct support of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
Provide leadership, direction, and training to interior and exterior cleaning and laundry staff ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
Champion workplace safety by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment; enforce health and safety standards, conduct routine inspections, and ensure all team members receive proper training and consistently follow established protocols to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety.
Motivate, support, and encourage team members, leading by example to promote engagement and productivity.
Assign duties, prepare weekly staff schedules, and manage staff rotations to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to standards.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, discipline, and termination of staff as needed.
Conduct regular staff meetings (formal and informal) to share updates, address concerns, and reinforce company standards.
Serve as liaison between preparation staff and senior management.
Investigate and resolve guest or customer complaints related to unit preparation.
Operations & Systems
Plan and coordinate all preparation activities, including scheduling vehicles for rental and sales.
Ensure staff are proficient in workplace technology (e.g., Daily Activity Screen) and consistently follow digital processes.
Implement new procedures and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Perform cleaning duties in case of emergency or staff shortage to maintain operational continuity.
Inventory, Purchasing & Budget
Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and receiving of all kit materials, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
Conduct systematic and accurate inventory counts, monitor stock levels, and advise management on replenishment needs.
Maintain complete and accurate records, control budgets, and exercise cost-control measures to optimize resources.
Arrange maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, washers, dryers, pressure washers, etc.).
Ensure insurance and registration documents are maintained in each vehicle for compliance and readiness.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience within the automotive, RV, or related industry.
1-2 years of management or supervisory experience.
Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Ability to motivate and work with a diverse team.
Strong attention to detail and appreciation for quality work.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to schedule, prioritize, and multi-task effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations and legislation.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, and cost control.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
Working Conditions
Permanent, full-time position.
Office and operational work, both indoors and outdoors.
Extra hours may be required during peak season.
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, push, pull, and carry equipment and supplies.
Manual dexterity required to operate cleaning equipment and hand tools.
Exposure to hazards associated with the trade.
