We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for our chefs. This position requires a passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Prepare and chop ingredients for meals, including vegetables, meats, and sauces.
Assist in cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Knowledge of cooking methods and food service practices.
Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
