We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients according to recipes. Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with established food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food products. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning dishes and utensils as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation. Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
