Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for cutting vegetables, measuring ingredients and a multitude of meat related tasks in our butcher shop. This position is perfect for individuals looking to grow their skills in the food industry while working in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of sausages and other prepared items by chopping, slicing, and dicing and measuring ingredients according to recipes. cutting and slicing meats and ingredients for items such as kabobs, curries, broths and more Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and handling regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils after use.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. A willingness to learn and adapt within the culinary field. ability to lift 50lbs or more throughout the day ability to be on their feet more extended periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
