We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients and assisting in meal preparation. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in cooking and assembling meals according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines. Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills is a plus.
