to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, from-scratch food preparation, working with fresh, local ingredients, and being part of a small, passionate crew.
Schedule:
25 to 30hrs/week, most shifts will be weekdays between 12pm to 7pm, some weekends required
Hourly Rate:
$16 to $17.50 per hour + tips based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Batch prep and baking (savoury items, pies, fillings, squares, cookie doughs, soups, salads, pickles, preserves etc.)
Follow written recipes and maintain consistency in preparation
Occasionally assist with small preps for service, including made-to-order sandwiches and soups
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety and storage practices
Work independently while contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment
Requirements:
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to follow directions and written recipes accurately
Basic cooking knowledge
Understanding of safe food handling and storage practices
1-2 years of experience in kitchen or batch prep preferred
Strong sense of consistency and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
A passion for local food and sustainable practices
Comfort working both independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
