We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist with cooking tasks as needed, including grilling, sauteing, and baking.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
