Duties

Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Participate in training sessions on food handling and safety protocols as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and knowledge of food safety regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
